What is Sexual Capital and do YOU have it?

As I created this blog, I wanted to come up with a unique name. While searching Google, I came across several links with the phrase "Sexual Capital" or "Erotic Capital". Of the two I decided on the first phrase, Sexual Capital. Why did I choose that as part of the title you ask? For a couple reasons actually.

As defined by various articles Sexual Capital is a quality that many desire in both the business world as well as the bedroom. One particular site described Sexual Capital as a combination of 6 qualities (Gross, 2011):
  • beauty
  • sex appeal
  • social grace
  • liveliness
  • social presentation
  • sexual competence
As I looked at the qualities on the list, I began to think about sex in general and how these qualities can influence individuals. Ideally, one should have a hint of each of these qualities, specifically women for the sole reason to feel confident. Unfortunately, some may take advantage and use these qualities to their advantage for personal gain, which may not always be a positive result.  However, if used correctly, these qualities could be the answer to feeling more confident between the sheets and in the work field.

In regards to the purpose of this blog and it's title, Sexual Capital is a goal I would like to enforce and encourage for all women. Being sexually confident can help to remove boundaries that may prevent women from achieving their highest potential. Don't get me wrong, I am not only referring to sexual confidence in the bedroom. Feeling confident for women unfortunately in today's society may be reflected in one's physical appearance. However, it is up to each woman to define those boundaries as to how they reflect in their own lives and how each individual can use the qualities of Sexual Capital in their lives.
